In a revealing interview on Channels TV, Chidi Lloyd, the Local Government Area chairman from Rivers State and an acknowledged ally of former Governor Nyesom Wike, delivered sharp commentary on the ongoing political disputes in the state. During his appearance, Lloyd expressed his views on the comments made by Peter Odili, another former governor, pointing out the complex dynamics within their political landscape.

Lloyd firmly positioned Governor Siminalayi Fubara as the current political leader of Rivers State, suggesting that some of the political discord can be attributed to what he termed as “internally displaced politicians.” These remarks appear to be a direct response to Dr. Peter Odili’s earlier comments, which some have interpreted as critical of the current administration.

“It does not work that way,” Lloyd stated, dismissing the impact of Odili’s opinions on the current political climate. “Former Governor Odili expressed his personal opinion, which holds no probative value as he does not speak as the PDP National Chairman.”
