Saidet Oladunjoye Early Life and Education     

Saidat Oladunjoye was born in Lagos State on May 6th in the late 1960s. She had her primary education at Holy Child College, Lagos, and Federal Government College, for her Secondary Education. Thereafter, she went to the University of Lagos where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in History.

Saidet Oladunjoye also holds a Master’s degree in History and an LLB degree from the same university. Thereafter, she proceeded to Nigerian law school, Abuja, and was called to the bar in 1998.

Saidet Oladunjoye began her career as a Graduate Assistant working with the Department of History at the University of Lagos State. She also served as a teacher at Gbagada Comprehensive High School, Lagos, before she became the Sport Officer / Project Officer at the Lagos State Ministry of Youths, Sports and Social Development.

Saidet Oladunjoye held various positions in different ministries including as a Research Officer in the Ministry of Finance from 1990-1995 and Lagos State Public Works Department as Senior Administrative Officer in 1995. Thereafter, she joined the private sector where she rose to the position of CEO/Executive Director of an Insurance firm.

Saidet Oladunjoye was appointed by former governor Babatunde Raji Fashola SAN as the Honorable Commissioner for Education of Lagos State. She was sworn in as a Federal Commissioner of the National Population Commission (representing Lagos State) at the Council Chamber of the State House, Abuja on February 26th, 2024 by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Before her appointment, she was the Vice Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Lagos East Senatorial District.
