Odinala comprises things whose origins, how, and when they started cannot be explained, like Igbo religious beliefs and Igo Oji rituals. Odinala can never be dynamic.

Omenala, which is Culture, encompasses people’s ways of life. These are the things that make people recognize you as an Igbo person rather than calling you a Hausa person or Yoruba. They are things you cannot do without, including your language and food. Omenala can be dynamic.

You can do without Odinala, but you can’t do without Omenala.
