A 43-year-old Toyota car owner identified as Eguono Onodjae has explained how helping a pregnant woman along the Iyana Ipaja terminal bridge, in Lagos made him unconscious for 2 days.
According to him, he was unconscious for days after offering to give a pregnant woman with her child standing at the terminal bridge a lift in his car.
Explaining to Vanguard, Eguono said, “It happened on Tuesday night. I reside at Abule Egba. I drove to Alausa for an official assignment, and while coming back, I decided to park at a filling station in Egbeda and use public transport to Coconut in Apapa”.
I returned to the petrol station after my engagement at Coconut, got in my car and drove home. At approximately 9:20 p.m. I noticed a pregnant mother with a boy standing next to her when I was driving.
They were probably on their way to Abule Egba, which is where I was going. I pulled over to offer assistance, opened my car, put the window down, and motioned for her to get inside.
Some guys hurried to join her as soon as she got into the front seat, opening my back door in the process. All I could recall was that the purportedly pregnant woman covered my face with a cloth and poured something peppery into my eyes.
They shoved me to the ground, and her energy and force revealed she was not pregnant. Fortunately, I was pushed to the side rather than onto the motorway, according to the policeman who assisted me.
Eguono went on, “My car was taken away while I was on the ground, but my car key is a sensor.” There is no need for a key. I had my car key sensor in my pocket as well.
The automobile will stop at a certain point if you drive it without the sensor key in close proximity.
My automobile broke down while they were driving it to the Fagba area. Nevertheless, they stole my wallet, voter’s card, and phone from the car.
