Wike Feels He Is Fooling Pres. Tinubu And His People, But Tinubu’s People Know Him Very Well -Dele Momodu

Dele Momodu, a former presidential aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has launched scathing accusations against Nyesom Wike, a former governor of Rivers State, alleging disloyalty to the PDP and alignment with the camp of President Bola Tinubu. Momodu’s claims center on Wike’s support for Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) during the 2023 presidential election, which has raised questions about Wike’s commitment to his party and its decisions.

Despite Wike’s current position as the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister under President Tinubu’s administration, Momodu asserts that the President’s camp does not trust Wike. This distrust stems from Wike’s backing of Tinubu during the presidential election, a move seen as a response to disagreements within the PDP regarding the party’s choice of Atiku Abubakar as its flagbearer.

Channels Television reported that although Wike has not officially left the PDP, Momodu criticizes the party for not taking action against him despite calls for sanctions. Momodu’s remarks, made during an appearance on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily, condemn Wike’s actions as detrimental to the PDP’s unity and success.

“Nyesom Wike feels he is fooling President Tinubu and his people. But Tinubu’s people know him very well,” Momodu remarked, highlighting a perceived lack of trust in Wike’s political maneuvers. He further added, “There is no Nigerian today who does not know that Wike cannot be trusted in any matter, especially if it affects his interest in power. For him, power is everything. Money is everything.”
