We Are “Band An” In Maitama But We Have Not Had Light Since Morning Or Is There A1 And A2?- Sani

One of the chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and former Kaduna lawmaker who represented Kaduna Central at the National Assembly, Senator Shehu Sani has stated that his area in Maitama has not had light since morning.

The former Kaduna lawmaker made the statement in a post that he shared on his official X handle on Friday.

His statement is coming after the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission, NERC, approved an increase of electricity tariff. According to VANGUARD, NERC approved an increase of electricity tariff to N225 from N68. The report further stated that the 300 percent hike took effect from April 1, 2024.

However, since the report surfaced online, there have been some reactions from many Nigerians.

In a post that Senator Shehu Sani made on his page, he said his area in Abuja is “Band A” but they haven’t had light since morning. He proceeded to ask if there is A1 or A2.
