The highly anticipated second season of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) will begin on Friday, February 23.
The reigning champions Mumbai Indians (MI), led by Harmanpreet Kaur, will meet the Delhi Capitals (DC). Who finished second last year, in the season opener at Bengaluru’s M Chinnaswamy Stadium.
Meg Lanning’s team will attempt to revenge their final setback in the first match.
Aside from MI and DC, UP Warriorz, Royal Challengers Bangalore. And Gujarat Giants will all be trying to make an impact this season.
The T20 league will include 22 games, with 11 each at Bengaluru and Delhi (Arun Jaitley Stadium).
The eliminator will be contested on March 15, with the victor facing the table toppers in the summit showdown on March 17. All bouts will commence at 7.30 p.m. IST.
Ahead of the season premiere, Viacom 18, the WPL’s official broadcaster, has appointed a star-studded team of commentators for the event, which will air in five languages.

Tamil: Bhagwati Prasad, Sudhir Srinivasan, Aarti Sankaran, Niranjana Nagarajan, Shailaja Sundar, Abhinav Mukund, KB Arun Karthik, and Srikkanth Anirudha.
Kannada: Raghvendra Raj, Sujay Shastri, Karuna Jain, Vanitha VR, Sahana Pawar, Bharat Chipli, and Srinivas Murthy.
Telugu: Sravanthi Naidu, Sunitha Anand, Akshath Reddy, Ashish Reddy, and Sandeep Bavanaka.
