As a result, she was fined 10% of her match earnings. On Monday, February 26, the game was played at Bengaluru’s M Chinnaswamy Stadium.
With stats of 1-16 from three overs, the right-arm bowler was instrumental in keeping the Alyssa Healy-led team to just 119-9 in the opening innings for DC. Reddy, who was having a spell, got rid of Poonam Khemnar in the fifteenth over and gave a loud celebration, indicating to the batter to go back to the pavilion.

“Arundhati Reddy from Delhi Capitals has been fined 10% of her match fees for breaching the WPL Code of Conduct during her team’s match against UP Warriorz at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru on Monday,” the statement stated.”
Arundhati admitted to the Level 1 Offence under Article 2.5 of the WPL’s Code of Conduct which relates to using language, actions, or gestures that disparage or which could provoke an aggressive reaction from a batter upon her dismissal during a match,” said the statement.
Having taken the wickets of Yastika Bhatia and Nat Sciver-Brunt in the season opener against the Mumbai Indians (MI), Arundhati Reddy has had a great start to the season.
Marizanne Kapp was named Player of the Match for her brutal powerplay innings, and the Delhi Capitals won the match easily by nine wickets.
Captain Meg Lanning of DC said, “I thought it was an excellent performance” after the team defeated UPW. The runners-up from the first edition lost a thrilling last-ball match against the Mumbai Indians, but they bounced back with an almost faultless performance against the UP Warriorz.
Marizanne Kapp laid the groundwork with a masterful spell after winning the toss, and in the middle overs, players like Arundhati Reddy and spinner Radha Yadav contributed significantly.
As far as the run chase is concerned, DC lost just one wicket, and that too when the scores were level. Both opening batters – Meg Lanning and Shafali Verma – recorded fifties to help DC bag their first points for the season.
DC is next scheduled to face RCB at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Thursday, February 29.
