“No record label can push you as much as you want, like you have to actually put in work. Everyone supports everything that’s successful , everyone wants to affiliate with anything that is successful. So if you’re too good, they’ll never neglect you or they would wanna work on your project. They’ll definitely wanna invest on you. Music in business, so if you’re making your label proud, they’ll invest on you and if you’re not they won’t invest. You don’t expect your label to just be throwîng away their money knowing it won’t yield any interest.” Wizkid
Record labels are out to make money and not run charity funds. If you ever think that you’re too talented and shouldn’t work hard because you’re signed to a good label, they won’t wãste their money on you. music is business and in every business, no investor wants to invest with no profits. So it’s either you work so they can push your work out there or be låzy and stay behind.
