Nyesom Wike in an interview with journalists alleged that some PDP leaders in Rivers are backing Fubara after working against him in the Governorship election. The former Rivers State Governor stated that investing in Fubara’s Governorship ambition was a loss to him. According to ARISE TV, Wike alleged that during his tenure as the Governor of Rivers State, some elder statesmen tried to go against him.

The former Governor of Rivers State reacted to calls that he should leave Rivers politics alone and focus on doing his job in Abuja. He noted that he is from Rivers State and there is nothing wrong if he tries to uphold his political power in the state.

Hear him, “Sometimes, you may invest in business and you’re at a loss, will you kill yourself? If you kill yourself, will you go back to the business? It’s not every investment you make that you will reap from. I have lost and that’s the only way I can move forward. I don’t think about it again.

I made Fubara the Governor and he wants to be on his own with these political vampires who are always sucking, and they want to continue to suck Fubara. Some are telling me to leave Rivers State alone. Leave Rivers State? Am I from Abuja? Are they saying I should not oil my political power?.”
