Is Nigeria cement manufacturing license only meant for Dangote and BUA? If not, why can’t Ebonyi state government partner with a private company to re-establish the Nkalagu cement factory?

If the license is indeed exclusive to these two people, the Ebonyi state government can lobby for the re-establishment of the Nkalagu cement factory, similar to how Alex Otti is partnering with both local and foreign investors to build a refinery in Abia State, given that Abia State is an oil-producing state.

It’s time for our governors to start adding value to our people’s lives. The Ebonyi state governor needs to take action. It’s disheartening to see the defunct cement factory in Nkalagu, with no efforts from the Ebonyi state government to revive it.

Or does the factory still belong to the entire former Eastern region, similar to how Enyimba Hotel in Aba still belongs to Abia, Imo, and Ebonyi States? Otti is consulting with the other two states to rebuild and reestablish the great Enyimba Hotel by partnering with foreign hotel management. If this cement factory still belongs to all the former Eastern regions, I believe the Ebonyi state government can collaborate with the other states to revitalize it.
