FAAN closes down KFC outlet in MMIA hours after Senator Gbenga Daniel’s son called them out for denying him access into the eatery because of his wheelchair (VIDEO)

Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria shut down the KFC outlet in Muritala Muhammed International Airport hours after Senator Gbenga Daniel’s son, Adebola Daniel called them out for denying him access to the eatery.

The politician’s son had earlier called the eatery out for denying him access to their facility, claiming that wheelchairs weren’t allowed.

According to the write-up he shared on his Instagram page, he disclosed that the manager in charge of the outlet had yelled to the security guard from behind the counter that wheelchairs weren’t allowed a few minutes after he walked in with his brother and wife.

He also added that the manager who was a lady, claimed it was a rule that guides the organization that no wheelchairs should be allowed in.

Reacting to the incident FAAN released a press release statement via their page on the microblogging platform X, where they stated that the KFC outlet in MMIA has been shut down.

They also urged the management of the eatery to tender an unreversed apology in writing to Adebola Daniel alongside a policy statement of non-discrimination to be written and pasted at the doors of their facility at MMIA before it resumes operation.

FAAN also tendered an apology to the affected passenger and promised to work tirelessly to avoid this from reoccurring again.
