Sunil Gavaskar gave his reasons, speaking with Star Sports for thinking Dhruv Jurel might have a successful season and why he should be elevated in the batting order by RR. “Dhruv Jurel can be that person, for sure,” he remarked. He can undoubtedly go up the order based on his batting performances this year and in the previous IPL.”
In the IPL 2023 season, Jurel amassed 152 runs at a strike percentage of 172.73 for RR. Gavaskar mentioned fast bowler Akash Deep as someone to watch out for in the IPL 2024 in addition to the young players from RR.
