The former spokesperson of the Northern Elders Forum, NEF, Hakeem Baba-Ahmed has reacted after an X user revisited the statement that he made in 2021 that the All Progressive Congress, APC, would have completely wrecked Nigeria by 2023.
In the report that the X user shared, Hakeem Baba-Ahmed said by 2023, the All Progressive Congress under the administration of former President, Muhammadu Buhari would have wrecked the nation.
After sharing the report, the X user wrote on his page;
“We are in 2024 and you are under the same party you abused”.
However, Hakeem Baba-Ahmed has now reacted to the statement that was made by the X user. In the post that he shared on his official page, he said he was right when he made the statement in 2021. Hakeem Baba-Ahmed said the administration of Muhammadu Buhari left the wreck that the nation is coming to terms with.
Hakeem Baba-Ahmed wrote on his official X handle;
“I was right. Buhari’s APC administration left the wreck that the nation is coming to terms with. Some of us understand the challenge to participate in a salvage operation. Some prefer we let the country sink. They are wrong. Politicians don’t own Nigeria. It is our country”.
