WWE RAW – Best and Worst: Did Gunther, Rhea Ripley, and Dominik Mysterio make a big mistake by splitting up?

Did Gunther, Rhea Ripley, and Dominik Mysterio make a big mistake by splitting up?

Tonight’s episode of WWE RAW was the first since Elimination Chamber, and it included several major moments that put us on the route to WrestleMania.

However, not all of them were favorable, and there were some worries along the road. So, with that stated, here are the most notable pros and drawbacks from a packed WWE Raw.

From Gunther’s direction for ‘Mania to another great Drew McIntyre promo, this episode had a lot going on.

3. Best: Fans love Mami

While she hasn’t formally turned, Rhea Ripley is as much of a babyface as she has always been.

She was welcomed like a megastar at the opening of WWE RAW, with fans quickly switching from booing Dominik Mysterio to cheering for Mami.

Ripley appeared to revert to being a big evil villain as her feud with Becky Lynch began, but that’s not how it turned out.

The WWE RAW crowd stood by her side, even booing The Man. It will be fascinating to see how this relates to another match versus Nia Jax.

However, during Mami’s rivalry with Lynch, the distinctions between good and evil may have become blurred.

Both ladies may be better off going with who the fans choose. If Rhea Ripley does turn in the future, she will have to leave Judgment Day and abandon Dominik Mysterio.

2. Worst: Gunther vs. Dirty Dom?

Speaking about Dominik Mysterio, WWE RAW seems to imply that he will be in the Intercontinental Title match at WrestleMania 40.

This isn’t ideal since Gunther should defend his title against a powerful babyface opponent. Even a multi-man ladder battle couldn’t compare to The Ring General’s remarkable rule.

A singles bout versus Gunther at WrestleMania would benefit multiple superstars, including Sami Zayn and Chad Gable.

They were referenced by the big Austrian on WWE RAW, and all signs lead to several challenges for the Intercontinental Championship.

Hopefully, the contact between Imperium and The Judgment Day was a ruse, and Gunther will compete in a singles bout at WrestleMania. Gable would be the finest choice, especially after he declared his intentions tonight.

2. Best: An amazing Street Fight steals the show on WWE RAW

Gunther’s appearance on WWE RAW raised the prospect of a match at WrestleMania 40 that was unworthy of his talents.

However, his Imperium stablemates had the finest match of the night. Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci defeated The New Day in an epic Street Fight.

1. Worst: Theory and Waller aren’t long for this world

Grayson Waller and Austin Theory’s tag partnership has proven beneficial to both guys. However, following the Elimination Chamber, it appears like the two of them may split up.

Grayson Waller and Austin Theory’s tag partnership has proven beneficial to both guys. However, following the Elimination Chamber, it appears like the two of them may split up.

The Australian talk show presenter did not assist Theory when Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes assaulted him at the Premium Live Event before lying about it on WWE RAW.

Both men’s reactions signal that a breakup is imminent, which is not ideal for either star.

1. Best: The world title scene is on fire

Paul Heyman interrupted Cody Rhodes’ celebration after he defeated Grayson Waller in the main event. The two then had a far less passionate and intense chat than their promo a year before.

Rhodes refused to back down from Heyman’s threat that The Bloodline would hunt him down if he would not retract his challenge to The Rock.

This made him seem terrific ahead of his next battle with The terrific One and Roman Reigns, whenever that may be. Cody is ready.
