The mask and Osimhen-mania

His injury in the match away to Inter remains famous, following a fortuitous clash with Skriniar, where he was forced to make a substitution due to a facial problem near his left eye. Taken to the Niguarda hospital in Milan for a suspected head injury, tests highlighted multiple displaced fractures of the orbit and left cheekbone, hence the use of a protective mask during the race.

The mask has now become one of his distinctive features: Victor is the idol of the fans and especially of the children who ask their parents to dress “like Osimhen” for Carnival, strictly with the mask and blond hair.
A real Osimhen-mani broke out in Naples: Easter eggs, cakes, bouquets of flowers: everything with the iconic black mask, almost like a superhero.
