According to Arise News, Former House of Representatives member, Hon Linus Ukachukwu, has accused FCT Minister Nyesom Wike of favoring Lebanese developers over him in land allocation in Abuja. Ukachukwu, a land developer, criticized Wike’s lack of address outside politics, dismissing attempts to intimidate him over his demolished property.
Ukachukwu, recognized with a national honor in 2003 for his role in Abuja’s property development, questioned Wike’s whereabouts during his honor and the minister’s motive in undermining his efforts. Speaking on AIT, Ukachukwu alleged collaboration between Wike, former FCT Minister Nasir El-Rufai, and Lebanese developers to seize his land.
In response to Wike’s accusations of manipulating the system, Ukachukwu demanded a serious apology, emphasizing his contributions to Abuja’s housing sector and integrity in business dealings. He challenged Wike’s credibility, questioning his absence during Ukachukwu’s national honor ceremony and accusing him of harassing citizens for personal gain.
But reacting on Wednesday, Ukachukwu said, “As far back as 2003, I had a national honour as a result of what I had been doing in the housing sector in Abuja. In 2005, my brother had a similar honour.
“How can you call Linus Ukachukwu and Nichoas Ukachukwu land grabbers? We need a serious apology from Wike.
Where was Wike in 2003, when a national honor was given to me as a result of developing Abuja? Where was he?
“Is it because of these fake opportunities that they have in the country that led them to come on television and start harassing the citizens? When you talk of integrity we never go into shady deals,” he said.
