Bill Apter is an American writer and photographer who specializes in professional wrestling.

Throughout the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s, he worked as an editorial staffer and photographer for various magazines, most notably Pro Wrestling Illustrated.

These periodicals frequently reported wrestling in kayfabe, emphasizing stories and angles rather than revealing “backstage” events.

 Apter was so intimately identified with these journals that they were sometimes referred to as “Apter Mags”.

Bill Apter, a veteran wrestling writer, recently discussed Bret “The Hitman” Hart’s comments about Vince McMahon.

McMahon came under fire following a lawsuit filed by former WWE employee Janel Grant, who accused him of sexual assault and coercion.

Former WWE Champion Hart also addressed the subject in a recent interview with The Slate. He said that the charges were disgusting and likely genuine.

On a recent edition of Sportskeeda’s The Wrestling Time Machine, Bill Apter mentioned that the Harts were extremely open about their sentiments, and Bret is no exception.

Bill thought it was brave of Bret Hart, a former WWE employee, to openly criticize McMahon and denounce him in front of the world.

During the debate, WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long also addressed Bret’s allegations regarding Vince McMahon.

He agreed that Hart was being candid about his perspective on the problem.

Teddy Long also discussed his connection with Vince McMahon, saying he was disappointed to see the 78-year-old scolded by the wrestling world once the charges surfaced.
