The Lionel Scaloni-led Argentine national team remains at the top of the FIFA rankings, with Brazil in fifth place and the United States, Colombia, and Mexico climbing two spots each.
FIFA released its latest rankings on Thursday following the completion of 174 international matches, including the Asian qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup, the final phase of the Concacaf Nations League, and friendlies across six confederations during the FIFA Series 2024.
Argentina extends its lead in the rankings, with no changes among the top ten teams, except for Belgium moving up to third place at the expense of England.
Brazil rounds out the top five, with Portugal climbing one spot to sixth place, displacing the Netherlands to seventh.
The United States (11th) and Colombia (12th) also move up two places, while Mexico rises one spot (14th), surpassing Uruguay, which drops four places (15th.
