Sowore reacts after Obi said we would not be in poverty if political leaders had served faithfully.

Former Presidential contestant, Omoyele Sowore has taken to social media to air his opinion, following his colleague, Peter Obi’s statement that Nigerian citizens would not be poor if leaders in the political space had performed their duties devotedly during their time in their various leadership positions.

Recall that Saharareporters had few hours ago, reported about former Anambra State governor, Peter Obi’s visit to the Emir of Zazzau in Kaduna State where he lamented that most of the vast arable lands in the North are yet to be cultivated.

According to the media outlet, the Labour Party 2023 presidential candidate stated that Nigerians would not be in poverty if political leaders, including himself had served Nigeria faithfully.

And so Nigerian businessman, Omoyele Sowore in reaction to such statement from Peter Obi, took to his official X to state that his position all along is that if Nigerian were to be a sane country, former presidential candidates like Atiku Abubakar, Rabiu Kwankwaso, Peter and president Bola Ahmed Tinubu would not be on the ballot, adding that they would be “rotting in prison somewhere for their mismanagement of the vast resources of Nigeria during their tenures in office.”

Speaking further, Omoyele Sowore accused such politicians of engendering poverty and that is why they feel that it is a big deal to commission boreholes in 2024 and allegedly sit and eat in the same bowl with their victims.

The activist finally noted that such move is pathetic.
