SOME BAD HABITS OF CHURCH MEMBERS
1. LATENESS: Some members are habitual late comers even when they live in close proximity to the church
2. SLEEPING: Some members are very comfortable sleeping during worship services in church
3. BROWSING: Teenagers and young adults are guilty of this very habit, surfing the net during service
4. PICKING CALLS: Some members pick calls inside the church while the service is on
5. HOLDING MEETINGS OUTSIDE: There are members who like holding meetings outside while church is on
6. QUARRELING: As holy as the church is, some members do not see anything wrong in quarreling during worship service
7. FIGHTING: On some occassions members exchange blows during service especially during church-in-conference
8. DISOBEYING USHERS: Some members just do not want to take instructions from ushers, they sit anywhere they like
9. GOSSIPING: Some members engage in gossiping while inside the church, they whisper among themselves
10. EATING: Believe it or not, adults sometimes eat inside the church especially pregnant women
11. LITTERING THE CHURCH: Members drop biscuit wraps and other trash inside the church auditorium even when there is a waste basket close by
12. CRACKING JOKES: Some members while service is on crack jokes and laugh out loud
13. CRITICIZING MESSAGES: Some members can’t help openly criticizing preachers while sermon is on in the church
14. INDECENT EXPOSURES: Some ladies are known to sit carelessly while in church thereby exposing themselves to those on the altar
15. STUBBORNNESS: Some members are stubborn to instructions from the pulpit. When others are standing they prefer to sit even when nothing is wrong with them
16. GLANCING AT THE TIME: It can be unnerving to see members constantly glancing at their wristwatches as if they are telling the pastor to hurry up
17. LEAVING BEFORE CLOSING: There are members who come to church only to listen to the message after which they disappear
18. INDECENT DRESSING: Some members especially the female members like to dress to distract other worshipers
19. INCESSANT MOVEMENTS: Some members cannot sit for ten minutes without standing up to go out or move around causing distraction
20. INCONVENIENT CHEERING: During preaching you hear some members shout “preach on preacher”, “tell them” etc
21. REFUSING TO SIT IN FRONT:
Members sometimes avoid sitting in front no matter how much they are persuaded
22. WALKING NOISILY TO THE FRONT SEATS: Some ladies prefer to come to church late and to compound it all they walk noisily with their shoes clip-clopping to the front seat distracting other members
23. EXAMINING SEATS FOR DUST: It is funny to see some members touch the seat in church and look at their fingers to see if the seat is dusty, because they expect someone to have done that for them.
