Rivers: Some people think that once they become governor, it becomes their father’s farm-Ikoawaji

A member of the Rivers State Elders Forum, Asukewe Ikoawaji, has shared his views on the existing crisis in Rivers State.

Recall that President Bola Tinubu brokered the signing of a peace pact between the governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, and the minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike.

The signing of the eight-point agreement was to end the existing feud between both sides.

However, a former governor of the state, Peter Odili, has handpicked Fubara over Wike, thereby expressing support for the current governor.

Giving his take on the issue, Ikoawaji stated that once some individuals emerge as governors of a state, they start feeling entitled to public office.

He made this statement during an interview with Arise News.

According to the video, “Some people think that once they become governor, it becomes their father’s farm.”.
