Davido’s logistics manager, Israel DMW has appealed to his estranged wife, Sheila Courage, to return the bride price he paid for her in the appropriate manner.
This comes after Sheila publicly claimed that she had refunded the bride price, following his recent public callout.
Reacting to her statement, Israel discredited it because she transferred the money to his bank account.
He insisted that the money doesn’t qualify as the bride price since it was not handed over in person from her family to his, like it was paid during their traditional wedding.
Israel, who married Sheila in October 2022, also mentioned that their marriage can only be dissolved by the Federal High Court after two years.
This development comes amid their ongoing marital crisis, leading to their separation within just a year and six months of marriage.
He wrote on his Instastories,
“Kindly return my bride price in a properly way. You can’t transfer it directly to me through alert. I was never the one who paid it directly.
My family did, and it was directly by hand. We married under the acts, and it is only a Federal High Court, who has the statutory powers to get it dissolved after 2 years.”
