As per a Vanguard report, Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin, the 52-year-old founder of Christ MercyLand Church, shared his views on the importance of tithes and offerings in Christianity. Fufeyin highlighted that although these customs stem from biblical principles, their adherence should be determined by the personal choice of each believer, mirroring their individual relationship with God.
Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin emphasized the self-sufficiency of the Christ MercyLand Deliverance Ministry, highlighting its independence from financial assistance provided by either governmental or private entities. Instead, the ministry generates revenue through profitable ventures, with Fufeyin personally diversifying his income sources to support the ministry’s objectives. While voluntary donations from members are appreciated, Fufeyin clarified that the ministry does not mandate compulsory tithes or offerings, emphasizing that this approach does not reflect any negativity towards these practices.
Additionally, Fufeyin reiterated that neither the Christ MercyLand Deliverance Ministry nor its associated foundation has ever received financial aid from government funds or international donor agencies. They rely solely on their own initiatives to foster growth and sustainability. Despite lacking external funding, Fufeyin expressed satisfaction with their self-reliant approach, highlighting the fulfillment derived from their autonomous model, which prioritizes internal resources and initiatives while maintaining the ministry’s autonomy and mission integrity.
He was questioned about the rumors regarding his alleged romantic involvement with female members. He replied, “Yes, most news about my person or this ministry were concocted with doctored videos and reports by reporters to suit their narratives. Particularly, the online platforms have been in the habit of doing this. They cut short videos and run it disjointedly to defame men of God including I, for reasons of blackmail. But we keep praying for them to change.”
