Police Recruitment: Date for Practical Tests, Medical Screening for Specialists has been released – Check Here

The Police Recruitment Board has officially announced the commencement of practical tests and medical screening for specialist applicants in the ongoing recruitment of Constables into the Nigeria Police Force (NPF). According to Ikechukwu Ani, spokesperson of the Police Service Commission (PSC), these crucial assessments, initially slated to begin on April 16, will extend over a two-week period.

Applicants vying for specialist positions will undergo rigorous practical tests covering a wide array of fields, including band, carpentry, communication, driving, electrical, information technology, masonry, marine technology, mechanic, medical assistance, painting, plumbing, tiling, printing, welding, and veterinary assistance.

These assessments will be conducted concurrently with the medical screening at 20 designated locations nationwide, encompassing the 17 zonal command headquarters and the command headquarters of Kaduna, Yobe, and Zamfara states. Specialist applicants from these states will undergo their practical tests in their respective states of origin.

Dr. Solomon Arase, Chairman of the Police Service Commission, reiterated the Commission’s unwavering commitment to restoring the Nigeria Police Force to its former stature by ensuring that only the most qualified specialists are selected. Dr. Arase emphasized the imperative of returning to an era where the Force adeptly handled its ancillary services internally, boasting a cadre of skilled professionals in various fields, including mechanics, masonry, engineering, and tailoring.

Assuring meticulous scrutiny in the practical tests, Dr. Arase affirmed that only the most competent individuals would be chosen to join the ranks of the Nigeria Police Force. This initiative underscores the Commission’s dedication to enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the Force while upholding the highest standards of professionalism.
