Photo Of Obi’s Arrival At Funeral Of Man Who Died During Penalty Shootouts In Ivory Coast Surfaces

There have been several reactions from social media users after photo of the former governor of Anambra state, Peter Gregory Obi arriving at the venue of the burial ceremony of Chief Osondo Nwoye surfaced online.

It would be recalled that Chief Osondo Nwoye died during the African Cup of Nations tournament that went down in Cote D’Ivoire earlier this year.

He was reported to have died after he collapsed during a penalty shootouts between Nigeria and South Africa.

However, photo of Peter Obi attending his burial ceremony in Amanuke, Anambra state has now been shared online.

The Peter Obi Media Arm (POMA) wrote on their official X handle after sharing the photo;

“H.E. Peter Obi attended the burial of Chief Osondu Nwoye, the Côte d’ Ivoire-based Nigerian who collapsed and died during the penalty shootouts in the Nigeria vs South Africa match at the Nations Cup. He was accompanied by Mr. Valentine Ozigbo”.
