Former Anambra State Governor and Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, His Excellency Peter Obi has taken to his social media platform on X (formerly twitter) to share photos of his just concluded Ramadan tour which began in Nassarawa State on 18th March, 2024.
The former Governor stated that his Ramadan tour had two objectives which were;
1) Addressing the pressing need for water for the people and
2) Praying with the Muslim faithfuls for the nation.
The Anambra billionaire businessman went further to state that he commissioned a borehole in Gombe State yesterday, in the community of Kofar Gidan Alh Babayo Kusada Kasuwar Dawaki market Pantami and provided financial assistance to about 100 individuals.
The same gesture was also extended to the Sabin Layi community of Bauchi State where His Excellency Peter Obi also commissioned a bore hole and provided financial assistance to the less privileged after which the Former Anambra State Governor went to Zaria, Kaduna State to meet the Emir of Zazzau, His Highness, Alhaji Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli and conveyed the purpose of his mission which was received with gratitude.
The Anambra billionaire businessman concluded his statement thus;
“….These trips further confirmed my belief that meeting the urgent needs of the people in the places where they feel the most needs ought to be a cardinal aim of leadership.”
