Obaseki Has Done Worse Than Adams Oshiomhole – Former Commissioner Andrew Emwanta

In the Edo State House of Assembly, Governor Godwin Obaseki allegedly tried to appoint former Edo State Commissioner of Information Andrew Emwanta as his puppet under the Labour Party. He turned down the offer, though.

In an Arise Television interview, he made this claim in reference to the House of Assembly members’ impeachment of Philip Shaibu, the deputy governor of Edo State.

He stated, “The governor (Godwin Obaseki) offered me a seat in the Edo State House of Assembly under the platform of the Labour Party, and I rejected it because for him to do that, he wanted me to be his stooge.”

“I said no because I am too intelligent to be used as a stooge. Almost all the members of the House of Assembly you see today were single-handedly picked by the governor.”

“And I think it’s our electoral process first with the party’s primaries; the primaries in the PDP were not properly conducted, and that is why for us we regret.”

“And that is why we never knew Obaseki would be a dictator. In 2021, he was crying, Oh, Adams Oshiomhole, he has even done worse than Adams Oshiomhole.”
