Senator Ned Nwoko, representing Delta North senatorial district, has successfully secured the release of four family members who were arrested by the Army for fabricating weapons in Onicha-Olona community, Delta State. The major suspect, who has the remarkable ability to build drones and modify AK-47 rifles, caught Senator Nwoko’s attention. Recognizing the talent and potential, Senator Nwoko aims to support and develop such skills, with plans to move a bill for a law to recognize and nurture similar talents nationwide.
According to Vanguard News, Senator Nwoko said, “I am pleased to announce progress in addressing the situation regarding the illegal arms factory discovered in Onicha-Olona community, Delta State. Efforts have been made to ensure fair treatment for those involved, balancing justice with the opportunity for rehabilitation and contribution to society.”
Senator Nwoko expressed his commitment to upholding the law while also recognizing the importance of redirecting exceptional talents towards lawful and productive endeavors.
