Johnny Depp denies claims of verbally abusing co-star during ‘Blow’ filming
American actor Johnny Depp has reacted to allegations made by his former costar, Lola Glaudini, who alleged that she was verbally abusive on the set of the 2001 drama “Blow.”
On the Powerful Truth Angels podcast, Gladini claimed that the events occurred in 2001.
He said that Depp accosted her after the movie’s director instructed her to laugh during a monologue of Depp’s.
In her account, Glaudini, 52, stated, “Johnny Depp, when they say ‘Cut,’ walks over to me, comes up to me, sticks his finger in my face … and he goes, ‘Who the f— do you think you are? Who the f— do you think you are? Shut the f— up! I’m out here, and I’m trying to f—ing say my lines, and you’re f—ing pulling focus.’ ”
She alleged that Johnny Depp’s comments happened on her first day on set, adding, ” ‘You f—ing idiot. … Oh, now it’s not so funny? Now you can shut up? Now you can f—ing shut the fuck up? … The quiet that you are right now, that’s how you f—ing stay.”
In response to these claims, a representative for Depp stated, “The actor always prioritizes good working relationships with cast and crew and this recounting differs greatly from the recollection of other members on set at the time.”
Glaudini also shared her experience of being reprimanded by Johnny Depp during her first studio movie, expressing her disappointment at being scolded by someone she had idolized.
She revealed, “The only thing going through my head was, ‘Don’t cry, don’t cry, don’t cry.’”
