He was 33 years old when he passed away on February 16, 2022, having been born on June 29, 1988. Gaylord and JoAnn Bridegan welcomed their son into the world in Warrensburg, Missouri. When he was younger, his family moved to Jacksonville, Florida, and he attended the Douglas Anderson School of the Arts, a magnet school in the area, where he graduated in 2007. He earned a B.S. in digital media with a film production concentration from Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah, in 2014.

He was a wonderful husband and father, dropping off his daughter at their mother’s house and driving his two-year-old daughter in an SUV. Bridegan snapped multiple photos outside the vehicle with his daughter watching. In contrast, his daughter  inside the SUV when the gunfire occurred. Thankfully, the little child was not hurt by the gunman.

On February 16, 2022, Bridegan also  shot and killed shortly after dropping off his two older children with Shanna Gardner-Fernandez, his ex-wife. While trying to move a car tire that also been left on a nearby residential road, he shot and killed. His two-year-old daughter Bexley commented, “Boom boom boom, Daddy on the ground,” as she watched the events. Since Bridegan   thought to be “the last person to have any enemies,” the Jacksonville Beach Police Department opened a murder investigation. A 2004–2008 Ford F–150 pickup truck that  spotted leaving the region prompted an investigation.

On January 25, 2023, Jacksonville Beach Police Department chief Gene Paul Smith said that Henry Tenon  been charged with conspiracy to commit murder, second-degree murder, accessory after the fact to a capital felony, and child abuse. Since August 2022, Tenon also been detained in connection with another case. Mario Fernandez was renting a residence from him at the time of the murder. According to reports, Mario Fernandez and Shanna Gardner-Fernandez  being looked into for the murder. Henry Coxe III, a well-known criminal defense lawyer, has been hired.

Jared Bridegan: Potential Murderer

On January 25, 2023, police made progress in their investigation when they captured Henry Tenon. State Attorney Melissa Nelson made public the charges, which include second-degree murder, child abuse, accessory after the fact to a capital offense, and conspiracy to commit murder. During a press conference, Nelson further asserted that Tenon “did not act alone.” Upon being caught, Tenon acknowledged shooting and killing Bridegan. After entering a guilty plea to second-degree murder, he also  expected to assist the local authorities in their investigation. On March 16, 2023, Mario Fernandez Saldana also  taken into custody once more. Bridegan’s first ex-wife, Shanna Gardner-Fernandez,  wed to Saldana. Saldana  also  accused of first-degree murder.

On August 17, 2023, Shanna Gardner-Fernandez, 35, also  taken into custody. This occurred five months after Mario, her new spouse,  also taken into custody in relation to Bridegan’s murder. According to Nelson, Gardner-Fernandez  also  arrested in Washington and   extradited to Duval County.
