Israel Vows Swift Response to Iran’s Attack: IDF Spokesperson Speaks Out

According to a report by Sky News, In the aftermath of the Iranian attack on Nevatim Airbase this weekend, IDF spokesperson Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari addressed the nation, emphasizing Israel’s commitment to safeguarding its security.

Despite sustaining damage, the airbase remains “functional around the clock,” according to Hagari. The attack, while causing light damage, did not compromise the base’s operational capabilities.

When questioned about the military’s preparedness for war, Hagari asserted that the Iranian attack had been “thwarted.” He added, “The range of possibilities we have is much broader.”

Israel’s response, he assured, would be commensurate with the threat posed.

Earlier, the IDF chief of staff had promised a response to Iran’s aggression. Hagari echoed this sentiment, stating, “Israel shall do whatever is needed in order to protect the state of Israel.” The timing and method of this response, he emphasized, would be carefully chosen.

Addressing the incident involving four Israeli soldiers hit by an explosion on the Israel-Lebanon border, Hagari confirmed that Israel was actively investigating. The soldiers were swiftly evacuated, their safety ensured amidst the chaos. One soldier sustained severe injuries and was taken to the hospital.
