The 17th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will begin on March 22 with a match between defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
During the competition, ‘Fan Parks’ will be set up in 50 Indian cities across the country to attract spectators, the BCCI officially announced on Wednesday, March 20.
BCCI said in its official media release
“The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) always strives to bring the game closer to the fans across the globe and the country and keeping that in mind, brought the Fan Park concept into play in 2015,”
Where are the IPL 2024 Fan Parks?
According to reports, there will be 15 fan parks in the first phase of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, which will run till April 7, 2024. The first fan park of the season will start on March 22, 2024, in Madurai, that time CSK and RCB face off.
In the first two weeks, fans from 11 Indian states Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Gujarat, Karnataka, Jharkhand, Punjab & Telangana, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu will get to enjoy the much-awaited Fan Park.
Each week, five fan parks will be held simultaneously in different cities. The schedule of the Fan Park after April 7 will be announced later.
