May Yul Edochie was born into the family of Mr and Mrs Aligwe a native of Anambra State the South Eastern region of Nigeria where she grew up with her siblings.
While growing up with her parents and siblings in Anambra State, May Yul-Edochie had her primary and secondary school in the South East geopolitical zone of Nigeria.
She is from the Igbo tribe same as her husband Yul Edochi. She is the daughter in-law of veteran Nollywood actor, Pete Edochie.
