I have said it before, it doesn’t matter the number of people that stand with you – Fubara

According to the report from the Vanguard, Amidst the ongoing political turmoil in Rivers State, Governor Siminalayi Fubara has made a resolute declaration, asserting that individuals of genuine integrity and character are unequivocally supporting his administration.

In contrast, Governor Fubara highlighted that some individuals who lay claim to integrity and character actually lack these qualities entirely.

The Governor underscored the importance of acknowledging righteousness in life and resisting negative influences to stay faithful to it. He cited the former Governor of Rivers State, Dr. Peter Odili, as an exemplar of such steadfastness.

Addressing the audience at Dr. Odili’s residence in Ndoni Town, Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area, shortly after inaugurating the Comprehensive Primary Health Centre, which was constructed by the PAMO Educational Foundation established by Dr. Odili and presented to the State Government for the benefit of the community.

Expressing his gratitude for being part of the occasion, Governor Fubara thanked God for the gift of life and commended the people of Ndoni for supporting one of their own who has brought significant acclaim to them.

He shared, “I’ve said it before, and I’m saying it again: it doesn’t matter the number of people that stand with you. Even if you’re standing alone, no matter the side you’re standing on, provided you are standing on the right side, maintain your stand. And we are happy to stand with him (Odili).

“We are also happy that he is standing with us. Even his person alone is giving people high blood pressure. They are restless, granting all sorts of media interviews. Why are they doing it? It is because the people that matter, the people that have what they claimed they have; happy to identify with him.”

Governor Fubara reiterated his commitment to ensuring that all necessary provisions are made to support the optimal functioning of the health center in Ndoni.

“We came here to celebrate with our own Daddy. It is a celebration of giving back to society. It is natural that when God blesses you, such time should come when you say: let me return those blessings to society.

“And we are happy to identify with what I consider, and I want to tag as the ‘I’ agenda. This is the genuine ‘I’ agenda project.”
