The executive Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara has been pictured together with the Senate Ad-hoc Chairman on Refinery Turnaround Maintenance, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah.

Governor Siminalayi Fubara, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party is one of the most respected and revered politicians in the South South geopolitical zone of the country. He took over from his Predecessor, Nyesom Wike as the executive Governor of Rivers State on the 29th of May, 2023.

Governor Siminalayi Fubara stated on his verified Facebook page; “Today, I also hosted the Senate Ad-hoc Committee on Refinery Turnaround Maintenance led by the Chairman, Sen. Ifeanyi Ubah. It was gratifying to know that, by the Committee’s report, the turnaround maintenance is almost at 90% completion, and as such, giving hope of commencement of operations soon.”

He added; “The refinery’s commencement of production means a lot to us because, inclusive of the availability of products, it will boost foreign exchange earnings, improve our economy and also increase the state’s internally generated revenue for more development. On our part we are working assiduously to support the smooth operation of the refinery by ensuring the urgent completion of the Woji-Aleto-Alesa-Refinery link road which is also at an advanced stage.”
