Blake Taaffe Professional Life
Blake Taafe started his professional career in 2021 when he made his first-grade debut for South Sydney against the Brisbane Broncos in a 46-0 win. He showed some amazing skills and appeared in eight games for South Sydney in the season of NRL 2021 Grand Final defeat against Penrith.
In 2022 he appeared in 10 games for South Sydney in the 2022 NRL season and Blake Taafe didn’t play any of South Sydney’s finals matches as the club reached the preliminary final before losing to Penrith.
In the 2023 NRL season 19th round, Blake Taaffe scored two tries for South Sydney in their match against Canterbury, despite their 36-32 loss. On July 31st, Taaffe signed a two-year contract to join Canterbury, starting in 2024. On September 24th, Taaffe played for South Sydney in their victory over North Sydney in the 2023 NSW Cup grand final, where he was named the man of the match for his outstanding performance.
In the first round of the 2024 NRL season, Taaffe made his debut for Canterbury in their match against arch-rivals Parramatta, which ended in a 28-6 loss.
