Atiku Won In Court Yet, Obasanjo Went Ahead And Withdrew All The Powers- Sam Kargbo

Sam Kargbo, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and a native of Edo State, expressed his criticism of Governor Godwin Obaseki during an interview with News Central Television. Kargbo faulted the governor for the impeachment of Philip Shaibu as the Deputy Governor, arguing that Governor Obaseki’s administration does not exemplify the type of democracy that should be upheld in the state.

The Senior Advocate had said, “Aside from you being a Governor in waiting, that is, should what the constitution says, if it happens, you become one, you are not in any way better than the erand boy of the Governor. The Governor is the Executive, and most of the time, we saw that in the case of Obasanjo and Atiku; Atiku won in court but yet, Obasanjo went ahead and withdrew all the powers, and all the facilities, and all the enablement for him to to act as Vice President; and Atiku was left floating for the whole of the tenure.”
