Anambra traders reject reversal of sit-at-home without releasing Nnamdi Kanu as Anuna pledges revenue generation of N10b

The traders of Bridgehead Market, Onitsha, Anambra State, unanimously turned down proposal by the Anàmbra State Government for the traders to resume market on Mondays.

The Special Adviser to the Governor of Anambra State, Chief Evaristus Uba, had tried to convince the traders , while addressing them during the One Day Crusade organized by the Central Committe of the Market Evangelism to resume trading on Mondays since there have been concerted efforts to release the Leader of Indegenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

This was greeted with shouting of no! no!! no!!! and loud murmuring by the traders.

Chief Uba ‘s further appeal by explainaming to them what they were losing by not trading on Mondays, met with negative response from the traders. who demanded that the Federal Government should release Nnamdi Kanu unconditionally, so that they would stop Sit-At -Home.

When the Special Adviser realized he was not having his way, he dropped the idea but told the traders the danger of continuous Sit -At -Home, which is capable of affecting their businesses negatively, because if their customers found elsewhere where they sell their products cheaper they would not come back again.
