ACTDA Prepares Ground Ahead Of Ukwu-Orji-Nibo, Road Project.

Ahead of the commencement of a major access road construction work at Nibo, the Development Control Unit of the Awka Capital Territory Development Authoriy (ACTDA) yesterday Wednesday, 14th February embarked on routine enforcement exercise.

The exercise was aimed at removing structures erected along designated path for the project and also to ensure that the road is constructed according to standard specification.

The road construction of Ukwu Orji Awka to Umuenechi Village-Ifite-Nibo-Isiagu Junction with 0.6km is expected to spur to zik avenue and 1.5km to spur to Oye Nwoshishi (Distance 5.25km)

Speaking during the exercise, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Awka Capital Territory Development Authoriy (ACTDA) Hon. Ossy Onuko noted that those were the crucial sacrifices that must be made to transform the society and that the value of properties and quality of life will improve for residents when the road is completed. He enjoined them to keep supporting the Governor as he delivered the dividends of democracy.

Reacting, some of this residents and major stakeholders of the community, Hon. Chukwuemeka Nweze while commending Governor Soludo for the good work noted that the road when completed will open up the area and adding more beauty and value to the community.

He pleaded with the Governor to also extend the work to Ezeike road to also help open up the community the more and create more easier access road and connection to the State Capital.

He maintained that though transformation and development often comes with a price, the aftermaths of the completed projects is usually unparalleled and urge residents of the community to continue to support the Prof Chukwuma Soludo led administration to succeed in building a livable and prosperous smart mega homeland for all.

For Comrade Ositadimma Chibuzo, who is also a member of Anambra State Government Task Force Team On Land, Governor Soludo has done marvelously well for remembering Nibo community.

According to him, it is a nice and welcomed development, hence, since nothing good comes easy, a lot of sacrifices will definitely be made for the road project and other expected transformational development work across the State.

He urge residents to exercise patience and endure the effect of the exercise with hope of more positive transformation and development ahead. He also charge Ndi Anambra to make work easier for the Agency by adhering to early warning to avoid loss of any kind.
