JUST IN; Tinubu’s Government reveals its plan for Almajiri Schools.

The Federal Government has said it will include the Almajiri system in the national school feeding program.

Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Home-Grown School Feeding, Dr. Yetunde Adeniji, disclosed this when she paid a courtesy call to the Jigawa State Governor.

She said the visit is to inform the Governor about the Federal Government’s plans to expand the national school feeding program to Almajiri schools.

She said Tinubu is passionate about ensuring adequate feeding for schoolchildren across the nation.

Responding, Governor Umar Namadi thanked the SSA for the visit and also thanked President Tinubu for agreeing to continue with the program, adding that the school feeding program has been successful and impactful in Jigawa State.

“In Jigawa, we know the benefit of the program, and we are eager to see it coming back,” he said.

He assured all the necessary support for the success of the program.
