Offering 50k To Workers On The Face Of Govt Officials Extravagant Lifestyle Is An Insult-Mahdi Shehu

“Offering N50k as minimum wage to the pauperized Nigerian worker on the face of executive and legislative extravagant spending and lifestyle is an insult beyond all defined and undefined boarders,” Mahdi Shehu wrote.

Mahdi Shehu’s condemnation underlines the growing disappointment among many Nigerian citizens who feel that the proposed wage increase is insufficient to meet the rising cost of living.

With inflation rates increasing and essential commodities becoming increasingly expensive, the prospect of a low wage hike offers little relief to the struggling working class.
